Where I Am

On a treadmill again
Sweet acrid sweat drips
Into my eyes quicker
Than I can mop up
My YMCA neck towel in white
Black and red. I said,

I'll step it up today,
A little faster --  a bit longer,
But my feet say not today, Sister!
Instead I stretch myself just
To reach yesterday's goal.
No matter what I decide
My body always sets the pace..

Listen to your wise body, Judy...then come here and share with us. I think we can all relate to this whether the push is physical or metaphoric.

Ah yes, the body does always ultimately set the pace. And so often mine does seem to say, not today Sister! Go Judy.

Smart body; smart mind to listen to it.

Judy, you have to listen to your body. Doing the same as yesterday is commendable and to be celebrated.
