Writing Naked

When I write from my heart
words spill out in rich red
pools that reflect me, then
I’m writing naked.

When I hide nothing
don’t think, let words flow
from that inner place
I’m writing naked.

When I let words go
don’t cover up, don’t try to hide
feel the thumping of my heart
I’m writing naked.

When I bare my soul
let things out from deep inside
go to that place I dare to tread
I’m writing naked.

When someone reads
my words or I send it out
I offer the gift of me
I’m writing naked.

Judy this is fabulous. Even the title grabbed me and I just had to go read the poem immediately to see if you had taken to sitting in your coffee shop without your clothes!

Your poem touches me, Judy. I do think you always write naked and do a splendid job of it too.

Yes, it is a gift and it takes courage. But it also speaks tp those of us who have also walked through the fire and gives us strength for the journey. Beautiful poem, Judy. Beautiful heart.

I love your willingness to be vulnerable, naked, yes. You are brave.

You are a pro at writing naked, and a model of that kind of writing. This poem, in particular, I love.

I love this! So true, and when someone is writing naked you can feel it in the words. Beautiful. I like writing naked! :-)

Excellent! I'm not good at writing naked. But that's a good idea and sounds like something I would try one of these days. Let the words spill out in rich red.... it runs deep.

Judy, when you 'write naked,' I consider it a gift to the readers. 'Naked' poems are my favorite....and this definitely was a favorite. You are gifted in this arena, and i treasure that.
