A New Mood

(PAD for day twelve)

Forget what they say.
Traffic in the city
isn’t horrendous, nothing
negative can be said
about a place that so
many people want to be.

Fact is, and this is true,
cars are jammed and line
the streets because it’s
a good place to be. Traffic
clogs the roads you drive on
because these are the roads
that are most desirable.

How lucky you are to be there,
to receive that energy you can’t
get anywhere else. This is
the place you were meant to be.

Ah, this poem made me laugh! New mood indeed. You just have to change the way you look at something to make it positive. I will have to try that. LOL.

Yes, as Mary said, in difficult situations one has to do / think something in a different way to change one's mood. I hate traffic jams too!

Wonderful way to look at traffic, Judy!! I will have to try it the next time we're stopped on the freeway! Love your take on this.
