Glorious Day

One of my poems was chosen to be included in a Netwest Mountain Writers and Poets anthology called, " Echoes Across the Blue Ridge". I just love the title but most of all love the fact that I will be in there. Now I have to get down to the particulars like getting my poem on CD (seems simple to some but not to me right now) and get the contract signed and back to them. I am so excited and ready for this recognition. :) I'm smiling from ear to ear and looking forward to the book coming out, probably in the fall. Wow, life is sunshiny on this rainy, cold day on the mountain. Woo-hoo!! Stay tuned....I'll let you know when it comes out. I might be doing some readings in your area. :)
Just a note to say that I would never have guessed that this particular poem would have been chosen. It was my least favorite of the three I sent. That goes to show you that you just have to submit and we aren't the best judges of what will be publishable. My mantra: submit, submit, submit. I'm going to do more of it now. That's the hard part of writing IMHO.

Hello Judy, "I'd just like to say..." It was a joy to see you in our neighborhood Wednesday at Coffee with the Poets. Isn't Coffee With the Poets easy and so natural and so much fun? I think simply it is that we are all practicing poets and we are not ashamed to say that.
Number one, we love celebrating each others poetry as well as our own.

Thanks for driving so far to join us. I hope you will coe back again.

Nancy, my trip to Hayesville to the Coffee with the Poets is something I hope to repeat many times. It's a long trip but so worth it to sit and listen to other poets and just being there with such a large group. I love the bookstore, the coffee and treats and the biggest treat was seeing you again and meeting so many wonderful poets. I wrote about it on my regular blog http://Judithwrites.blogspot.com
