Note To God

If I wrote a note to God
I’d ask for good health for my
family and friends. I’d ask
that we be able to go on each
day, each moment smiling, living,
caring for, and loving each other.

If I wrote a note to God
I’d ask Him to answer my prayer.
To give Dolly her voice back so we
could hear her stories and that laugh;
so she could tell George how much
she loves him; tell her Mom how much
she means, so we could all be whole again.
I’d ask for her strength back so she could
hug her sister and her friends, enjoy
her life and all the people who travel
to Costa Rica looking for a B&B with
southern hospitality.

If I wrote a note to God
I wouldn’t ask for more than that-
just give us Dolly and let her enjoy
the years she worked so hard to get.
Let her walk among her flowers
and in her home with her family
and friends. She has more poems
to write, more meals to cook, more
dreams to dream, more horses to ride,
more living to do, more beaches to see,
and we aren’t ready to say good-bye.

I love your note to God Judy - and I wish Dolly'ys voice back too. We can't sing her songs, but we can sing about her, and that's something.

Beautiful words Judy. God has given US all those wonderful qualities through Dolly. We are reminded to take the time to say "I Love You".
