Acceptance is a place,
an estate arrived at by
many paths that twist
and turn, lots of switch backs,
pits, and mountains to climb.
The way there bought by
work, tears, pain, and grief
but at the end of the road is that
elusive estate of beauty, serene
countenance, and peace of mind.
Acceptance is a place, come sit
at my table, I’ll share what I know
of it. I’ll tell you of my journey.

A strong poem, Judy. Acceptance is sometimes illusive indeed, but if one keeps searching, hopefully one will find it. You do indeed know a lot about this journey.
I am sad that you had to take this journey, Judy. I love how you ended this poem. Excellent.
I find the title seriously inspiring - something I had not tlought about - acceptance as an estate from those we lose, from the process of loss. This deepend my understanding of my own grief over time.
Wow Judy...what a strong strong poem. The title and concept are original and excellent. Sad journey but what a writer you are.
I enjoyed your poem. Unfortunately, wherever one wanders one always seems to end up at its gates.
This is such a heartwrenching but beautiful poem, Judy. And yes, you have had quite the journey. I'll sit at your table and listen any time.
Beautiful words for a difficult experience. Love the ending.
Beautiful, Judy. Acceptance really is the easier, softer way; but it can be so hard.
I love this poem, Judy, and I so resonate with the hard-won wisdom it contains. I would love to sit and have a cup of tea with you and have that conversation. Acceptance only comes after intense pain and grief. Wonderful wisdom in this poem. Beautifully expressed.
