Snowbirds

Florida doesn’t suck,
especially in winter
     which is much more like
     six months of fall.
What does it feel like to sit here
day after beautiful day
when friends from up are worried
about driving in snow and ice?
I have learned to keep silent
to sing to myself, but

it doesn’t suck.

Oh to be in Florida, now that February's halfway through. Good one - the converse of my discontent poem!

I'm so glad you say it doesnt suck. If nice warm sandy beaches sucked, we'd really be sunk:)Us frozen northerners need to think about those warm beaches, just to know they exist helps us, somehow!

My folks live in Florida - and in February, I am jealous. (In the summer, not so much, 'though.) ;-D

For sure, Lightverse. I get out of town in July and August and sing the praises of NC. :) Mountains don't suck either. LOL

Sherry Blue Sky- Your comment made me smile. Yes, it would be terrible if sandy beaches and sunshine sucked. Hadn't thought of it that way. :)
