Aspirations

I want to write something meaningful
something that will help someone
who is In the throes of a crisis
they can’t see an end to.

I want to convey in words
novels, poetry, novellas, essays
articles or journal style
what I have inside to say
but won’t come out just right
yet.

If I can’t make a difference
I’d like to write any old trash
that would sell and have me
traveling to booksignings
and hobnobbing with other
writers with the same aspirations
as I.

My aspirations about writing are pretty similar to yours. You meet yours well. This blog shows that you do have readers who benefit from your poems. I'm one.

Judy, your words DO make a difference in people's lives, whether they are yet published or not. I do hope for you that eventually your words will be OUT THERE even more! We all just have to keep writing...and hoping.....

So much to convey. it is bristling to get out. I think I understand and do appreciate your desire to lighten others load.

Judy, it is July now, and I am looking at your poetry blog. You haven't posted in it in ages. I miss it. Please share your poetry again.

I relate so well, Judy. To make a difference in the world -- what more could we ask of ourselves? That is why I like to teach. Even if we never know it, we teachers often make a difference and leave a part of ourselves in our wake.
Keep writing your poetry. You make a difference to people like me.
