Plants

My mother tends her plant
toils over them morning and night
making sure her garden grows.

She clips and hoes gently
stakes and prunes lovingly
nurtures each flower and stem.

My mother hums in her garden
looks over her little ones
coaxes and conjoles each bud.

She puts time and love into her work
makes sure her garden grows
I’m envious of those plants.
