A Good Match

How can you know he is a good match?
You can’t -- it’s up to things like chance, the stars,
or maybe God or energy fields.  There’s no
guarantee, no formula that I can see.

As the years go by, you know for that time in place -
you are still together, still in love, still growing,
caring and both working hard to make
your lives better.  You care more about him
than you do yourself .  You realize that you are
happy just the way things are, but still,
there are no guarantees about tomorrow.

Your poem of relationships and life, or not, is right on.

You are so right....there are no guarantees. You just need to enjoy one day at a time....while it is!

Yes you definitely have a good match--and you are right that much of it has no guarantee. Great PAD efforts Judy!

So true, no guarantees, but you do have a good match. I guess that's why the Greeks and Romans said no one could say their life was a good one until they died because so much unexpected could happen.

That is so true, Bob. I hope that there isn't anything catastophic enough to happen to cancel out the good I've had in this world. I think everything that could happen has...but there I go. Hoping it's a "for sure" thing.
