The dream was always the same
I could float away
on a cloud or a bunch of balloons,
away from the troubles in my
young mind.
Today
no clouds are needed, no balloons to erase
the pain and angst. I can float away
with meditation, prayer, or just zone out
to free myself, then come back refreshed.

What a wonderful skill Judy. So many of us could use the ability to just float away at times. It is a very weird picture that I assume was the prompt.
Ah, Judy, this is a wonderful ability! You are very fortunate.
Happy mind travels when you need them, Judy.
I want that…working on it. Thank you, Judy.
I love this one, Judy! The picture and your poem are intriguing.
Judy, i remember a book called something like "The Advantages of a Difficult Childhood" - not tongue in cheek. Your poem made me think about how disassociation devekoped to survive childhood horrors can later lead to skills at meditation and serenity in chaos.
