FIMH

My coffee mug is washed out blue,
the fired clay feels solid and warm
in my hands. The steamy brew
from Kona coffee beans, a gift
from a friend. The aromatic liquid
soothes as it slides down, takes
the scratchy ache in my throat away
as it fills my senses with feeling
for the giver of this cup. The inscription
FIMH in white imbedded letters,
Forever In My Heart, warmth floods me.

As a coffee snob, a person who needs a coffee vessel that is just right....and a romantic...I love all of this, Judy!

Ann, Funny thing is that I thought of you as I realized I had my first "small stone" moment as I held that first cup of coffee. :)

Thank you, Victoria. I do feel much better today.

Ah, those perfect moments, Lynne. I forgot to recognize it as such but perhaps the poem really says that. I remember the perfect moments at Big Bear and want a do-over...even all of us getting locked out. :)

My mug a friend bought me says: "Good morning, this is God, I will be taking care of all your troubles today, so, have a nice day."
