Seeds

I plant seeds, here and there,
water, weed, nurture, then plant
another.  So many don’t take,
germinate, don’t come to fruition.
I plant more gently then, not
so much dirt on top, more hope,
less expectation.  When I least
expect it, a tiny sliver of green
peeps out of the black earth.
New life, new hope, I plant more.

How true this little piece is. Gardening is like nurturing relationships with loved ones, isn't it?

I love the final line!
"New life, new hope, I plant more"
Go ahead, and plant more!

Yup, that's what happens! Life when you least expect it....

I especially need to remember that it is impossible to know which seeds will take and which won't, so I need to keep sowing and watering without too much investment in the outcome. Wise, Judy. And I like this site, that it is starting at the beginning with prompt one. I hope I get on board with a seed poem after work - which is about to start in a big onslaught.
