Story

My story keeps changing.
Each year, every decade brings
new meaning to past

situations. I put my story
away at age twelve or forty,
then re-examine the facts

at sixty and find
meanings, nuances
changed, are rearranged,
and put away with new perspective.

So very true, Judy. I look forward to the next chapter.

Very nice introspective piece, Judy. So important to re-examine, I think - hard, but important to growth.

Yes we do keep revising our stories don't we. I hope I have a chance to look back at this time and think I am young! So often I look back and am embarrassed at some of the things I did. Then I just want to keep that book closed!

True, Judy, perspective, and as Lynne says, introspective. Thank you. You gave me a lesson. Well done

I love this Judy too. I think our stories exist only in context, and we keep changing our perspective on the context.

We always look at things with new eyes, don't we. I love the flow of your poem, Judy.

Indeed true that people interpret things differently later in life than they did at the time. Age somehow gives events a different filter.
