Solitary

I gaze outside my window,
look for a bird, a squirrel.
Hear a baby cry, maybe it was a cat.
Look for the walker with Siberian Husky,
late today, I wonder if she’s ok.
I’m at my desk and wonder why
I can’t produce one solitary poem.
