(Poetic Asides prompt: Time capsule)
Two thousand eleven
is only into the fourth month
yet much has happened.
A deadly 8.9 earthquake
struck Japan followed by
a gigantic tsunami wave.
The devastation is sobering
to the world. Japan is still
dealing with the resultant
deaths of thousands, injury
of more and mass destruction
to property and people’s psyche
as they deal with the nuclear
reactor scare. This year of the rabbit
seems more like the teeth of a tiger.
